Burger & Associates, LLC is a family owned business, with personal and friendly business relations, and unwavering business ethics. We work with every client on a very personal level, and have remained friends with many of our clients for years.
Jerry Burger, our owner, has been in gthe surveying business since 1960. That doeesn't mean he hasn't kept up with the times, though. Our company has grown more and more high tech over the years, and we use the most up-to-date GPS, laser and computer technology to ensure accuracy and expediency.He was in on the use of Computer Aided Design Drafting, or CADD, from its inception, and headed the CADD department at the Highway Department until he retired.
Mr. Burger is a Licensed Land Surveyor in the State of Alabama. He is retired rom the Alabama Department of Transportation where he was the leader of the first CADD section organized by the Department. He was trained in the MicroStation at the Intergraph Headquarters in Huntsville, Alabama, by C.W. Beilfuss & Associates in Chicago, Illinois and the Texas Department of Transportation. All of his field information is gathered electronically and transferred directly to his computer to be processed into plans, topographic maps and presentation drawings.
Mr. Burger is familiar with preparing exhibits for courts, planning commissions and other public forums. His knowledge of field surveying and CADD enables him to turn out quality work. He has prepared numerous surveys and presentation type drawings to be used in mediation and arbitration situations.
Much of Mr. Burger's 49 year career has been spent as an advanced Highway Designer, and he thoroughly understands what data must be gathered in the field to produce complete boundary surveys, topographic maps, cmputer terrain models, and completed Highway and Bridge Construction Plans.
this experience gives him confidence in space planning and in making accurate measurements of distances, areas and volumes using the most up-to-date computer software.
Familiarity with ALDOT's Plan Format provides him with the ability to produce plan drawings that are complete and easily read and interpreted. |
